The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has officially announced the dates and format for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 tournament. The highly anticipated competition will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024, and will feature 24 teams competing for the coveted trophy.

Tournament Format

The tournament will follow a similar format to previous editions, with the 24 teams divided into six groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, which will consist of a round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and final.

The matches will be played in ten different cities across Germany, including Berlin, Munich, Cologne, and Stuttgart.

Qualification Process

The qualifying draw for UEFA Euro 2024 will take place on October 9, 2022, with the 55 UEFA member associations competing for a place in the tournament.

The top two teams from each of the ten qualifying groups will automatically qualify for the tournament, while the third-placed teams will enter a playoff round for the remaining four spots.
