Bobrovsky shines, Oilers struggle to find offense
Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 32 shots he faced as the Florida Panthers shut out the Edmonton Oilers 3-0 in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final on Wednesday night. Carter Verhaeghe, Anthony Duclair, and Sam Reinhart scored for the Panthers, who took a 1-0 lead in the series.
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, the Oilers' top two scorers, were held without a point. Mike Smith made 28 saves in the loss.
The Oilers have now lost five of their last six games, while the Panthers have won five of their last six. Game 2 of the series is set for Saturday night in Sunrise, Florida.
